George Byrd: Rampaging

Big ups to VCU for an amazing run to the Final Four. Here’s hoping they make history in Houston. VCU alumni and former basketball star is none other than Big George Byrd of the Hombres. Big ups are a Big Byrd specialty and are on display in the highlight below. If you watch closely, you can see the play develop. The Hombres swing the ball to the left side of the court and empty the right side of the court by cutting the gunners through to the ball side. The defense follows the gunners through the springs and realize too late that they’ve left the right side of the court wide open to the rampaging Byrd, who gets a free run at the springs full speed…an opposing stopper’s worst nightmare. by: Vernon Riley   Any championship team needs three types of players. A defensive stopper, a hard nosed do-whatever player, and an outstanding scorer. The SlamBall champion Slashers have all three. Adam Hooker, best stopper in the league, Corey Beezhold, the ultra-efficient do-anything guy, and the scorer, Scott Campbell. Scott...
  4. Moon: Stick With It

An amazing sequence of tenacity. Slashers handler Ramone Moon attempts a huge dunk at the rim, but is soundly rejected. During the ensuing possession, Moon runs the ball down and has it deflected two more times by the defense, but Moon stays with the play and turns a frustrating offensive...

Congrads to VCU beating KU. But their going to need that same fire to beat UCon or Butler. Good job VCU.
